What ages can participate?

Kids Rip the Runway is built for children and teens roughly ages 4 to 17, grouped by age for rehearsal and show segments. If your child sits just outside that range, submit the interest form and tell us — we review case by case.

Does my child need modeling experience?

No. Most of our participants have never walked a runway before. Coaching and rehearsal are part of the program, and the show is designed so a first-timer can succeed on stage.

Who fills out the form — my child or me?

A parent or legal guardian, always. Every interest submission is guardian-led, and we correspond with the adult on file. We never ask children to sign up on their own.

What does it cost to participate?

Participation details and any fees for the 2027 relaunch are to be announced. We are actively building sponsor-funded and scholarship spots so cost is not the reason a child misses their runway moment. Joining the interest list costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Accessibility is a requirement, not an afterthought. The 2027 venue is to be announced, and step-free access, accessible seating and restrooms, and a quieter backstage area for sensory needs are part of how we evaluate it. Tell us what your family needs on the form.

What happens after we apply?

You receive a confirmation, then updates as 2027 details are confirmed. When casting and designer selection open, interest-list families hear first and get a window to complete the full registration, including guardian consent.

How do you handle safety and permissions?

Children are supervised backstage at all times, and a parent or guardian must be reachable on site. Final participation requires signed guardian consent and an applicable photo and video release. We publish no public child profiles — no names, ages, or contact details on this website or in public galleries.

Only what we need to contact a guardian and plan the show. No sensitive personal data is collected on this website; the interest form is hosted by Typeform, and submissions go to the Kids Rip the Runway team, not to sponsors.
